Colin Lawson, Classical Clarinet 柯林．勞森

現任英國皇家音樂院院長 (Director of Royal College of Music)、古單簧管資深教授 (ARCM Classical Clarinet) 、歷史性室內樂演奏教授 (Historical Performance Ensemble Classes)。

為伯明罕大學藝術碩士 (MA)、音樂博士 (Doctor of Music)，曾就讀牛津大學，並以18世紀單簧管之論文獲頒伯明罕大學之藝術碩士。

Colin Lawson 曾任教於亞伯丁大學 (Aberdeen University) 、 謝菲德大學 (Sheffield University) 及倫敦大學 (London University)，2001-2005年於湯馬斯谷大學 (Thames Valley University) 擔任副校長之職，而後任英國皇家音樂院院長至今。

演奏方面，則為國際級古單簧管演奏家，於許多英國一流古樂團擔任首席之職，包括漢諾威古樂團 (The Hanover Band), 英國古樂團 (The English Concert)與倫敦古典樂團 (The London Classical Players) 等，並經常灌錄唱片及巡迴世界演出。身為獨奏家，曾於紐約林肯中心與卡內基音樂廳等國際各大音樂廳舉行獨奏會，其錄音曾被BBC音樂雜誌 (BBC Music Magazine) 等樂評讚譽為 「當代首席古單簧管演奏家」。

其亦著作等身，為劍橋大學單簧管教材 (The Cambridge Companion to the Clarinet) 、歷史性演奏系列教材 (Cambridge Handbooks to the Historical Performance of Music) 與2003年版本管弦樂教材 (Cambridge Companion to the Orchestra) 編者、劍橋大學莫札特單簧管協奏曲與布拉姆斯單簧管五重奏 (Cambridge Handbooks to Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Brahms’s Clarinet Quintet) 作者，並著有介紹與早期單簧管書籍等。
